Casing and Tubing Inspections

Brooks specializes in both field and standard Shop Inspections of Casing and tubing of various sizes ranging from 2 3/8" Tubing up to 36" Casings.

Our inspection program typically is in compliance with API RP 5CT for used tubes and API RP 5AS for new tubes.

With the appropriate drift mandrels Teflon or metal the specific tube ID requirements are met and damage to the internal coating of special pipes are avoided.

OCTG Inspection work Scope

Our Inspection Scope for Tubing and Casing include but is not limited to;

• Full body & thread visual(all) for straightness, corrosion(scale) physical defect
• Cleaning of Thread
• Visual Thread Inspection(VTI)
• Full Length API Drifting
• Color Coding to API Specification
• Caliper(I.D, O.D) & length measurement (shoulder to shoulder)
• Stencil on pipe body - pipe identification No, grade, weight, ID, OD drift, length and inspection date
• Racking to API Specification for thread repair.
• Apply dope that API Standards to thread

We also have a more robust program which takes into account specific manufacturer / Client requirements.
